Soviet Battleship Marat

Built as one of the 4 Gangut class Russian Dreadnoughts originally named 'Petropavlovsk' renamed after the Kronstadt Rebellion.
During WWII she shot down one of the first German aircraft by the Soviets however she was sunk at her moorings in 1941 by Ju87 attack, her stern section was raised and her rear turrets were used to shell German positions during the Siege of Leningrad

Post war she was renamed again to 'Volkhov' and served as a training ship until 1953 when she was stricken and broken up for scrap
